Alexander spent the summer as a participant in the San Francisco Opera’s prestigious Merola Program and will be a featured vocalist in the Oregon Symphony’s Waterfront Concert on Thursday, August 28.

“The Resident Artist program serves as a launching pad for highly talented young singers making the transition from the conservatory to the professional opera world, by providing them with vocal coaching, training in diction and languages, and a wide variety of performance opportunities,” said Mattaliano. “2014/15 marks the program’s tenth anniversary, and we have much to celebrate in its growth. Two of our resident artists have been Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions finalists in the last three years, many are performing with opera companies around the country, and Resident Artists current and past are featured in major roles in each production of our upcoming 50th Anniversary Season.”
