Anne McKee Reed, soprano, has been called “the first choice locally for ingénue roles” by The Oregonian. The Spokesman Review has said she can “pout and plot and sing with winning clarity one of Mozart’s most demanding roles”. Prior Portland Opera performances include Il Satirino/Destino in La Calisto, First Spirit in The Magic Flute and Jennie Hildebrand in Street Scene. Other recent performances include YumYum in The Mikado, Rose Maybud in Ruddigore and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore (Mock’s Crest Productions), Angelina in Trial by Jury (Choral Arts Ensemble), Alice in Secret Garden (Staged!), Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Opera Plus! Coeur d’Alene), Celebrate Home and the Drammy award-winning production of The Melody Lingers On (The Broadway Rose).

Ms. Reed has performed with the Oregon Symphony, Obsidian Opera, Willamette Concert Opera, Ohio Light Opera, at the Astoria Music Festival, with the Festival Ensemble at the Bach Akademie Stuttgart and at the International Theatre of Vienna.On the concert stage she has been a soloist with the Cascade Chorale, Central Oregon Mastersingers, Oregon Chorale and Columbia Chorale. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Redlands and a Master of Music degree from Portland State University and is currently a faculty member in the music department at Pacific University.
