Join Portland Opera To Go! for a delightful, 50-minute, English-language adaptation of Engelbert Humperdinck's classic fairytale opera, Hansel and Gretel. This colorful, accessible, lively production is just right to introduce the kids in your life (or yourself!) to the wonderful world of opera.

Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel

She was tired--an overworked mother who couldn't manage to feed her children. Perhaps it was understandable when she lost her temper after her children misbehaved ... but she never imagined when she sent them into the forest to gather berries for supper what lurked under the sun-dappled trees.

Hansel and Gretel were about to experience the greatest adventure of their lives—and face their greatest nightmare, a Witch with a taste for roasting children!
