Orfeo ed Euridice

THIS MARRIAGE TRANSCENDS “UNTIL DEATH DO US PART.”

Orpheus would rather risk death than live without Eurydice.

The wedding of Orpheus and Eurydice ends tragically when she is bitten by a poisonous snake and dies. The best day of their lives quickly becomes the worst. Heartbroken, Orpheus travels to the underworld to retrieve Eurydice. Armed with only his lyre, Orpheus must charm the furies of Hades, ghosts of the dead, and a three-headed dog to reach his beloved. And before he brings Eurydice back to the world of the living, there are trials yet to come.

Sung in Italian with projected English translations above the stage.
