World Trade Center Rentals

Ideally situated downtown and overlooking the Willamette River, World Trade Center 2 is a perfect space for your next board retreat, performance, company party or private event. Easy access via public transportation and parking underneath the venue gives you flexibility in attendance, while proximity to downtown offices and hotels allows for easy commute for conferences and meetings.

World Trade Center 2 boasts a 200-seat proscenium theatre for your performance, as well as a beautiful, covered Sky Bridge Event Space, a large outdoor Plaza and a variety of smaller meeting rooms. You can also try your hand at cooking in a commercial kitchen, as well as rent maker space for textile artists.

The World Trade Center Theatre

Located on the Sky Bridge level, this compact proscenium theatre can host up to 200 guests for any type of staged event. Whether you are giving a presentation, putting on a concert, theatre performance or a recital, hold an organizational meeting, the theatre gives you a chance to host a memorable event.  The stage is fully equipped with lighting and soft goods, as well as a built-in projector and screen. The rental includes 2 sizable dressing rooms with restrooms, a large lobby, and additional office or event space can be rented depending on the needs of the event.

St Johns Balcony Lounge

A fully covered space that overlooks the Plaza and is accessible through the lobby of the Theatre, the Balcony Lounge is a great option for a small reception (perhaps 50 attendees) alongside your rental of the Theatre or just a fun birthday party location. Furnished with plenty of seating, the space is also configurable to a standing-room only reception. Could be combined with the Theatre lobby for larger capacity.

The Sky Bridge

The Sky Bridge is our most beautiful space for weddings, proms, cocktail parties and other types of receptions. With giant glass panel walls overlooking Portland’s Willamette River and Tom McCall Waterfront Park, the Sky Bridge gives the impression of being outside while remaining fully covered. Temperate in any season, it can accommodate up to 200 guests seated with additional capacity dependent on setup configuration. The rental includes basic furnishings and AV services.

Outdoor Plaza

The covered open air Outdoor Plaza is located on the ground level, and sets a welcoming stage for events that require a bit more elbow room. With more than 11,000 square feet, the space lends itself to imaginative open-air festivals, pop-up markets, fundraisers, walks/runs, receptions, weddings, proms, exhibits, and industry specific trade shows. We recommend no more than 800 people at a time! The use of restrooms and Fremont Plaza Room for support space is included.

Fremont Plaza Room

Fremont Plaza Room by itself provides convenience of accessibility for attendees and is in a separate location from the other conference rooms. Two of the walls are made of glass, allowing an ample amount of natural light through, and this creates an open feel to the space. There are private restrooms located in the lobby just outside the double wooden doors. This is a flexible space that can be used for many different events from receptions to trainings, with a capacity of 90 people.

Burnside Rehearsal Room

Burnside Rehearsal Room is an all-purpose conference room located on the Mezzanine Level and accessed through the offices of Portland Opera. The room features large picture windows, a grand piano, and a built-in AV system with projection. This space is great for groups looking for a general meeting or luncheon space, as well as for group or individual music rehearsal, yoga class or a book club. It also works well for smaller breakout sessions through the use of air walls to separate the room into 3 smaller sections: Portland Opera uses one of the sections for a smaller conference room, and you can too! The room can comfortably fit 100 people for a meal or presentation. 

Commercial Kitchen (COMING SOON)

Located on the Mezzanine level of World Trade Center 2, the kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities: plenty of prep space, a walk in cooler and large freezer, a dishwasher, a gas range, warming ovens and all necessary cookware. Whether you want to bring in catering for your event, use it for staging space, or rent the kitchen to express your inner Julia Child, the kitchen is here for your creative needs.

All rentals include internet access, standard furniture (i.e., folding chairs, tables, music stands), basic A/V set up and event management. Additional fees incurred with use of production staff, special event lighting, additional furnishings and linens.
