The Hampton Opera Center boasts two large rehearsal and performance spaces, The Gregory K. and Mary Chomenko Hinckley Studio Theatre and the Music Studio, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio and the Camerata Room, which comes with access to the main lobby and kitchen. In addition to the building, we can also offer parking lot rentals.

Ideally situated overlooking the Willamette River, The Hampton Opera Center is a perfect space for your next board retreat, performance, company party or private event.
The Gregory K. and Mary Chomenko Hinckley Studio Theatre
The largest of the three spaces offered at the Hampton Opera Center is the The Gregory K. and Mary Chomenko Hinckley Studio Theatre. This black-box theatre can host up to 220 guests, with multiple riser/thrust and seating options. The studio is also ideal for large gatherings such as company parties or luncheons for over 150 guests. Portland Opera performs at least one show per season in the The Gregory K. and Mary Chomenko Hinckley Studio Theatre, and has also housed Push/Fold Contemporary Dance Company, Next Adventure, and Artists Repertory Theatre.
The Gregory K. and Mary Chomenko Hinckley Studio Theatre is equipped with a lighting truss and comes with complimentary use of the lighting inventory, light board and house soft goods.
The Music Studio
The Music Studio is adjacent to the Hinckley Studio and is an ideal venue for large group rehearsals, board meetings, conference luncheons, and more. The Music Studio is lined with red curtains and acoustic panels, offers hardwood floors throughout, and houses a large built-in projector and screen.
The Camerata Room
The Camerata Room comes with access to the main lobby of the Hampton Opera Center, kitchen and a beautiful outdoor patio on the banks of the Willamette River. While renting studio space at the Center, the Camerata Room acts as the perfect Front of House space for your patrons
All rentals include use of the HOC Parking lot, internet access, standard furniture (i.e., folding chairs, tables, music stands), and event management. Additional fees incurred with rigging, use of stagehands and production staff, along with rental of speaker system. Non-profit and multi-space rental discounts of 10% offered.
