What music/book/movie/show/poem/place/moment is currently inspiring you?

I can’t believe it took me until the lockdown to discover her, but I can’t get enough of Caroline Shaw. I listen to her recording of “And So” every time I need a few minutes of peace.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a three-year-old, I wanted to be Santa Claus.

In my free time, you can usually find me...

Editing my podcast (download now at keepclassicalweird.com!), trying out new recipes, and chasing after the best toddler in the universe.

What has your favorite quarantine activity been?

Nearly every Sunday has become “cake day” at our house, and the baking and eating of said cake is pretty hard to beat.

What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?

Opening night of Lucia di Lammermoor: the curtain falls after the finale, and even above the roar of the crowd, we hear Maestro Manahan shout, aghast: “Oh my god, did you SEE ALL THE BLOOD???”
