Describe what you do for Portland Opera?
As the Director of Development, in partnership with our General Director and Board of Directors, I oversee our fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events.
Have you been a volunteer, served on a board of directors, or contributed to other community organizations that you’re passionate about? If so, please share it here.
I currently serve as the Board President of both the Aloha Community Library in Aloha and the ACMA (Arts & Communication Magnet Academy) PTO in Beaverton.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an actor...and I still am! Every summer, I perform with the Original Practice Shakespeare Festival in parks across the Portland Metro area.
Do you have a favorite local visual artist/musician/filmmaker/performer that you think everyone should know about?
I have too many to list! That said, most of them can be found working with some of my favorite arts organizations in the Portland Metro area including Bag&Baggage Productions in Hillsboro; The Reser in Beaverton; and in Portland - Curious Comedy Theater; Live Wire Radio; and Third Angle New Music, among others.
