Pre- & Post-Show Events
Get the most of out your Portland Opera experience by attending pre- and post-event events that can illuminate important aspects of the performance. Join the community and make opera an larger part of your life.
One hour before each performance, join us on the first balcony for "Bob's Opera Overture," an enlightening introduction by Bob Kingston, the Opera's Resident Historian and Lecturer. Free admission.
After each performance, join General Director Christopher Mattaliano in the front orchestra level for "Back Talk," a Q&A session about the performance. Guests include performers, conductors and directors.
Portland Opera productions take place at Keller Auditorium and the Newmark Theatre.
The Hampton Opera Center at 211 SE Caruthers St. houses our administrative, production, and rehearsal operations, as well as All Classical Radio and Friends of Chamber Music.
