Describe your role with Portland Opera
This is my first year as a chorus member. I also had the pleasure of singing for their balcony concert series in July.
What music/book/movie/show/poem/place/moment is currently inspiring you?
The birth of my daughter, Cordelia Rose Grace.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a comic book artist and a professional wrestler. Perhaps you can connect the dots to opera?
In my free time, you can usually find me...
Practicing yoga and meditation, playing guitar and piano, and now-- spending time with my baby girl and partner.
What has your favorite quarantine activity been?
Continuing to adapt in the moment and overcome the adversities that COVID has thrown my way as a performer, teacher, and expecting father.
What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?
Singing my 20 minute set for a balcony concert overlooking the Tillikum Bridge. There are many more to be made, I'm sure!
