Describe your role with Portland Opera

I've been involved with Portland Opera since 2018 and my role has been to sing with the Chorus.

What music/book/movie/show/poem/place/moment is currently inspiring you?

Currently, I am spending 1 day a week volunteering for a not for profit company called Working Class Acupuncture. I find that spending my time with the acupuncturists and clients that are being seen for treatment inspires me to help others and live my best life.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a child, I wanted to combine my love of singing with my love of animals by being a veterinarian opera singer.

In my free time, you can usually find me...

In my free time you can usually find me engrossed in various art projects. My favorite medium would be wood art and pyrography but I also enjoy dabbling in watercolor and paint.

What has your favorite quarantine activity been?

Spending quality time with my dog, a happy-go-lucky puggle named Sebastian, has been my favorite quarantine activity. I often would schedule exercise and training time with him in order to add some play to both of our days.

What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?

My favorite Portland Opera memory is from our last staged production of Madama Butterfly. Working alongside my talented and supportive colleagues with a unified goal of creating music and art on stage is something that brings me insurmountable joy.
