Describe what you do for Portland Opera?

Together with my team, I am in charge of making sure all elements of our productions aside from singers and orchestra come together on time and without incident.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A figure skater. But my parents didn't want to cart me to practice at 5 am, and instead sent me to music school to make good use of the upright piano my mother used when SHE was a child. The rest is history!

In my free time, you can usually find me...

Reading. A lot. Also making things around my home: I am quite an accomplished furniture upholsterer, and I like to learn new skills when it comes to working with my hands.

What's your favorite season in Portland/why?

I have only been in Portland since December 2023, so I am yet to experience all seasons, but I look forward to what Spring brings as I hear there are magnificent roses!

What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?

When I was a young teen, I worked a summer job in a local pencil factory packaging pencils into cartons as there wasn't a machine available to do that. To this day, the smell of cedar brings me back to those days.
