Describe what you do for Portland Opera

I am the President of the Ambassador Board for the Young Patrons Society. I volunteer with other board members to plan YPS events and encourage YPS membership to young professionals in the Portland area.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be everything and that is still the case!

What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?

My favorite memory is my very first opera, Philip Glass's Orphée in Fall 2009, because it was also one of the first dates that my now husband and I had.

What's your favorite Portland coffee shop, brewery, cidery, or winery?

My favorite coffee shop is Dragonfly in NW. It has delicious coffee and a comfortable, cozy vibe.

Do you have hike/park/scenic view in Oregon that inspires you?

I really enjoy spending quiet mornings walking around my neighborhood park, Columbia Park. It's a little forest oasis in the city.

Do you have a favorite local visual artist/musician/filmmaker/performer that you think everyone should know about?

I have the pleasure of knowing so many creative people in a variety of arts. My current favorite is Lucas Schwartz who runs a shop in the Kenton neighborhood called The Bureau and creates amazing work with wood.

What's your favorite bike path/greenway/route in Portland?

I love the stretch of road on Willamette from University of Portland until you reach Adidas. The views are the most interesting too as you can see the city scape, industrial work, trees, and the river all in one space.

What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?

I worked at a now-closed local video store for many years during college. It was the most fun and best job I have ever had. I particularly enjoyed getting to know our regulars and their preferences so that I could recommend movies to them. I was their Netflix algorithm before that existed!
