I have been a volunteer for hospice of Tananna Valley, served on the Advisory committee for fine and performing arts to the Kootenai County School Board, been volunteer coordinator for Fairbanks Animal Shelter and been Marketing director for Fairbanks Light Opera.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be Bruce Lee in enter the dragon.
In my free time, you can usually find me...
Walking my dog Chevre.
What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?
My audition for Portland Opera was my first introduction. Everyone has been warm and welcoming and I’ve been having fun ever since.
What's your favorite Portland coffee shop, brewery, cidery, or winery?
I’m a typical starving artist type and don’t go out much!
Do you have hike/park/scenic view in Oregon that inspires you?
I love Burnside Trail, its right in my back yard and I am getting to know it in all seasons.
What's your favorite season in Portland/why?

The one where it rains alot. I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for ten years, the mild weather is incredible. I’ll take warm and wet over cold and dark!

Do you have a favorite local visual artist/musician/filmmaker/performer that you think everyone should know about?

I feel like a brown noser for saying it, but Nick Fox our chorus master is a national treasure. Nick is known for his incredible musical mind and generous heart, but keeps it secret that he is an incredible writer. His Facebook posts are funny, poignant and witty as hell. A true renaissance man and my favorite local artist for sure.

What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?
I was an Animal Control officer in Alaska for 5 years. Definitely lots of stories to tell.
