Describe what you do for Portland Opera

I have the extraordinary privilege to bring exciting productions (and people) to Portland Opera. It is always my goal to feature amazing artists and visionary creatives that are willing to share their unique artistry with our community. I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to highlight and cultivate artists and creatives local to the greater Portland area.

Have you been a volunteer, served on a board of directors, or contributed to other community organizations that you’re passionate about? If so, please share it here.

I am a national officer for NANM, Inc. one of the oldest Black music organizations in the country. Our mission is to promote and preserve music composed and/or performed by African and African/Black Americans. It is so important to preserve our traditions, while incorporating new practices that keep us relevant and current. What's most exciting to me is the art produced by the fusion of the "old" and "new"... It's creativity at its best!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Like most, I wanted to be a doctor/psychiatrist and think I missed my calling as I love to watch reality TV and psycho-analyze the characters. The best!

In my free time, you can usually find me...

Scrolling on TikTok... My absolute guilty pleasure!
