About our work
Members of Portland Opera's Ambassador Board work to raise the philanthropic profile, awareness and mission of Portland Opera through marketing, event fundraising, and relationship building among the next generation of patrons and donors. By engaging in Portland Opera's mission, Ambassador Board members are the next generation of Portland philanthropists that serve as advocates for cultural diversity, and musical excellence.
The Ambassador Board is also the leadership team behind the Young Patron Society— a social club for opera goers between the ages of 21-40.
The Portland Opera provides Ambassador Board members the opportunity to engage in a classic and revered art form with a prestigious organization as well as opportunities for professional development, board leadership development, networking, and support connecting members with board service and service to our community.
