Describe your role with Portland Opera
Chorus Member since 2014
What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?
I had a paper route when I was 9 years old. A stack of papers was delivered to me in the morning, I cut the plastic tie, folded and rubber-banded the papers, put them in a cloth carrying contraption that went over both handle bars, and delivered the papers by flinging them onto people's doorsteps. At the end of the month, I would go door to door and collect the money and turn it into the newspaper company and then they would cut me a check.
What's your favorite season in Portland/why?
Definitely Summer. Longer days, beautiful sunny weather to enjoy a juicy mango outside listening to music or spending a morning picking fresh fruit and berries.
What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?
Every time I arrive at a rehearsal or performance and see my friends and colleagues! There is nothing better than singing and performing with people who you can laugh with and enjoy their company while working together. My years as a Portland Opera Chorus member have been filled with silly moments while bringing a show to life through the exceptional artistry of composers, librettists, musicians, singers, directors, conductors, and designers.
